This was my first trip to the Vintage Home Show and its the beautiful venue, the Victoria Baths, Hathersage Road, Manchester. It is a grade 2 listed Edwardian building, which originally opened to the public in 1903 offering 3 swimming pools and a Turkish bath. Dressed in terracotta tiles, stained glass and mosaic tiles, the building is a fascinating artefact of days gone by.

The venue is perfect for this type of event, lots of space, the glass roof allows the light to flood in. The balcony provides a great view of the surrounding stained glass and the exciting stalls below

It was a hive of activity with a wide range of retro stalls ranging from furniture, to china & serve ware to mirrors, lighting, toys, textiles and glassware.

I’d highly recommend the fair for interior design enthusiasts or collectors of retro goods. The event is held on a regular basis throughout the year, check out the Victoria Baths website for further details.
